Study Group of Musculoskeletal Diseases in Primary Care

This group is constituted mainly by primary care professionals of the National Health Service from the Baix Llobregat Primary Care Service of the Catalan Institute of Health (CIH). Since 2004, the GEPALAP Group has conducted research projects with the aim tro improve the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases with physiotherapy and rehabilitation. From the begining, this group colaborates with the Physiotherapy Research Unit of the Health Sciences University of Zaragoza, where some of the members are Physiotherapist degree lecturers. The main goal of this group is to advance the efficacy and effectiveness of physiotherapy and rehabilitation techniques in the treatment of musculoskeletal diseases and to evaluate and validate exploration techniques on manual therapy or or functional or physiotherapeutic diagnostic orientation.
