ISV-Girona
Girona Vascular Health Research Group
The ISV group is fully integrated in the cardiovascular area of ??the IDIAP since the main researcher of the group is, in turn, the area coordinator. He has participated with great involvement in the cardiovascular group of the AIAPP network through the leadership of the CARDIOCAT group (the seven members of the ISV group belong to CARDIOCAT and its IP also belongs to the CARDIOCAT). On the other hand, it is also present through its PI (which performs the tasks of coordinator) in the vascular prevention group of the Vascular Diseases Plan of the Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya. The members of the ISV belong to different areas of the Primary Health care system, including management, teaching, patient care and research. The central research objective of the group is to improve the detection and management of patients with intermediate cardiovascular risk, the detection of CV disease in the asymptomatic phase and to analyze the cost effectiveness of interventions for the prevention of cardiovascular disease.
