Cardiovascular Research Group
The lines of work of our group focus on Heart Failure, psychosocial determinants and cardiovascular risk and specific cardiovascular risk factors: hypertension and atrial fibrillation. The group is composed of six doctors (five family doctors and one statistician), a specialist in preventive medicine, two non-doctor family doctors and two case management nurses. Some of the members have been trained in Institutes of Excellence such as the IMIM, Germans Trias i Pujol or l'IRVH. In the 2014-2017 period, group members have been principal investigators of six competitive research projects. In the last three years the group has published more than 90 articles in journals indexed with impact factor. The group collaborates with international institutes and universities.
