Diabetis-Reus-Tarragona-GDRT

Diabetis-Reus-Tarragona-GDRT (Reus-Tarragona Diabetes Research Group)

The axial objective of the group is to consolidate and expand in the field of Primary Care a multidisciplinary research group to generate quality scientific knowledge in the area of diabetes, its prevention, diagnosis, management, identification, therapeutic intervention and prognosis, as well as that of its late manifestations.

The scientific knowledge generated must respond to the aim of increasing and improving the capacity of primary care to identify prediabetes as a health problem; and it must be useful in order to improve screening and early detection of its complications, adopting health plans and policies aimed at their prevention and treatment in a coordinated way between the different health professionals.

The group is made up of professionals and researchers dedicated to the study of topics related to diabetes. The Reus-Tarragona diabetes research line was initially promoted by SAP Reus-Altebrat more than 25 years ago.
