EMAP

Research on Drugs in Primary Care

The main objective of EMAP is to carry out research of excellence in the field of primary care and the use of medicines. We are an interdisciplinary group with expertise in carrying out studies with different methodologies with special attention to vulnerable populations (children, polymedicated patients, pregnancy and breastfeeding, the elderly).

EMAP participates in the conduct of independent clinical trials through the SCReN (Spanish Clinical Research Newtwork) network in all its phases, including pharmacovigilance, is part of the SIGMA Consortium, in charge of providing scientific evidence in pharmacoepidemiology through European databases, especially involved in the study of drug use during pregnancy (ConcePTION) and in pharmacovigilance of vaccines against COVID-19 (VAC4EU) and participates in the program Pharmacotherapeutic Harmonization of CatSalut through the Technical Pharmacoepidemiological Office studying the use of drugs in real conditions.
