EPIVAC
EPIVAC (Epidemiology and Vaccines)
The EPIVAC Group (Epidemiology and Vaccines), accredited as a consolidated research group in the SGR 2013 call and reaccredited SGR 2017, carries out epidemiological and clinical research on infectious diseases of the respiratory system preventable by vaccination, especially cohort studies evaluating the effectiveness in the practice of pneumococcal and influenza vaccinations from Primary Care. During 2017-2022 the group has carried out 3 research projects funded in competitive public calls (ISCIII and PERIS).
The members of the group have supervised 2 doctoral theses and have published (as first authors) more than 15 scientific articles in national and international biomedical journals, with a bibliometric impact factor of more than 30 points. Some of the group's work has been incorporated into the most recent updates of Cochrane reviews on the subject and has been used to establish recommendations in various clinical practice guidelines.
