GRECOCAP
Clinical Ultrasound Research Group in Primary Care
Ours is a multidisciplinary group made up of 23 researchers (4 doctors) with 12 family doctors, 9 Primary Care nurses and 2 research technicians. In 2012, a group of family doctors began to provide training in ultrasound in primary care; this training was implemented as a regular practice in clinical care in different consultations of PC centers in the province of Lleida.
Subsequently, a hospital rotation was agreed upon as an improvement, with the radiology service of the Arnau de Vilanova University Hospital in Lleida, with validation of agreement in the examinations carried out by a family doctor and a radiologist, being the reason for the publication of an article in an international journal.
At the same time, we continued to promote more specific training and expand our knowledge base and professionals involved, including primary care nurses and more recently, paediatricians
