GREMSPI
Research Group on Measures Sensitive to Nursing Practice
The GREMSPI focuses on the study and development of measures that reflect the impact of the different dimensions (care, management, research, teaching and health policies) of the quality of nursing practice.
Its purpose is to improve the quality of nursing practice and its outcomes by identifying, creating, and implementing specific and sensitive measures.
The group is coordinated by a nurse doctor specializing in family and community nursing, IDIAP researcher Jordi Gol, with extensive experience in the study and development of measurements.
The group is inter-institutional (six institutions) and is made up of nurses with different profiles that include various areas and disciplines (specialties) of nursing practice.
This diversity favours a more complete and effective approach to the research and application of the results.
The main research objectives of the group are: 1. To identify, define and validate measures of structure, process and outcome that reflect the impact of nursing practice. 2. Identify, analyse or develop strategies and tools to integrate these measures into daily practice.
Different members of the GREMSPI lead and actively collaborate with other research groups and with organizations and institutions of the higher education system and the health system.
