CENIT

Collaborative Research Group on Lifestyles, Nutrition and Smoking

The CENIT group is a multidisciplinary research group that brings together the activity of several research teams that work in the primary care of the Camp de Tarragona for years, with research topics related to lifestyles and its repercussion with health. The team of researchers has sufficient previous experience and some of its members have actively participated in various research groups in the area previously accredited (respiratory, nutrition and diabetes). The group presents several consolidated research lines and some have already received financing in external competitive calls (Health Institute Carlos III, La Marató de TV3, Department of Health of the Generalitat de Catalunya, Catalan Society of Family and Community Medicine) and their own IDIAP Jordi Gol. With the experience gathered during this time, it is intended to set up a consolidated group in order to investigate issues related to community health, lifestyles and nutrition, both at the level of health promotion and the prevention of factors of Risks and pathologies that are likely to survive in the field of primary care and from the community perspective.
